Realizing that the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law is a graduate professional school, and noting the school’s
commitment to promote quality education and academic excellence,
no regular student enrolled at the Law School is allowed to obtain a “D” grade in any of the
courses offered at the Law School.
Grades are reflected on the student report in letters with the following values:
|GRADE||VALUE IN POINTS||DESCRIPTION||GRADE POINTS|
|A||90 – 100||Excellent||4|
|D||60-69||Unsatisfactory Pass (repeat)||1|
|I||No Point||Incomplete||Not Applicable|
|AB||No Point||Absent from Examination||Not Applicable|
|DR||No Point||Dropped||Not Applicable|
|W||No Point||Official Withdrawal||Not Applicable|
Except that he/she earns one point, a student with a grade of “D” must repeat the course in which the “D”
was earned. Where a “D” grade is earned in a two semester course, the student shall not be allowed to register
for the second part of the course until the “D” grade is removed.
